Passover 2020
Why is this Passover different from all other years?
This year, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Chabad at UC Berkeley will not be hosting any seders, meals or gatherings of any kind in an effort to flatten the curve. As painful as this might be, it is our joint responsibility to do everything possible within our means to save lives.
We are aware that MANY students are still in Berkeley, unable to return home for various reasons and will be forced to perform seders alone for the first time. To help make this possible and encourage students to NOT attend gatherings with others outside of their current household, we are offering a complete Seder-to-Go for any student that needs. Please contact Rabbi Gil or Bracha directly ASAP to arrange. All items will be prepared in accordance with CDC guidelines and available for pickup on Wednesday.
While we are not hosting our usual events for Passover, we plan to remain available for all Berkeley students in need in whatever ways we are able to be of assistance this Passover. As usual, all of our Passover resources are offered to students FREE of charge. If you are in a position to help sponsor our Seder-to-go kits and other Passover resources, please contribute using the link below. We pray that everyone will be safe and healthy and that we will all merit to celebrate Passover together this year in Yerushalayim together with Moshiach.
